Let's Slay 2019

Now that we have settled into 2019, it is time to get to WORK! I am sure you all have your New Year’s resolution posted on a sticky note/white board and your vision boards posted up high!! Cute! Well take it from me, having those things and no real plan is definitely wasted space. I have come up with five easy ways to SLAY 2019.

*Goal Setting-

This is probably one of the most important items on this list. I know you have heard that if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail. Vision boards and affirmations are all good if you have a plan to execute them. It is not enough to have pretty pictures of the things you want glued to some poster board. Sure put stuff into the atmosphere, but you have to things to align yourself with your vision. Simply put, you have to do the work.

*Planner-

Having some sort of organization is also helpful when working towards your goal. When I write things down and see them often, it holds me accountable. If you are not a planner kind of girl, add it to your calendar on your phone. Alerts help as well!

*Declutter-

Sis! Get rid of that old stuff. You know the mail you have on the table. Pay the bill and throw those paper away! Why are you getting paper bills anyway? Go paperless and save some trees. *Hops off environmental high horse* Get rid of the old clothes. You know the ones you can’t fit. Take them to a thrift store or merely give them away. Make room for the NEW!!

Oh, this little tip goes for relationships too. If it is toxic, cut it off. Don’t think of it as hurting the other person. Think of it as protecting yourself. If it doesn’t serve you, then let it go!!

*Celebrate Small Wins-

We all have a big goals we want to accomplish this year. They may be long term and we will not see the fruits of our labor for a while. You should make it a priority to celebrate small wins. You want to lose 30 lbs. Losing one pound gets you one step closer, so rejoice when you see you that scale move down. You said you were going to read 12 books this year. Pat yourself on the back for finishing one chapter. You see my point. Remember the goal, but enjoy the process. It makes winning that much more enjoyable.

*Have Balance-

Life is very much a balancing act, and we are always just a step away from a fall. We are constantly trying to move forward with our purpose, to achieve our goals, all while trying to keep in balance the various parts of our lives. If any aspect of our life takes too much of our energy, we have to shortchange the other aspects. We have to deal with any areas that are taking too much energy and put them in perspective, align them, so that we have energy available for all areas. Give yourself permission to not do all the things. It is okay to say no to others…and yourself.

We got this!!

Love, Krissy
