Five Summer Trends I’m Excited to Try!!!!

Summer is officially here, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! There are so many reasons to be excited about this season, but one that stands out is the explosion of fabulous summer fashion trends all over social media. Here are the five trends I’m dying to try!

1. Pleated Skirts

I saw a post that said, “the girls are not interested in unbigging their back… they are too busy being Serena Williams,” and I couldn’t help but laugh and agree! I’m absolutely in love with the girly trend of pleated, skater skirts. Though I’ve never held a tennis racket, I’m all in for wearing the uniform! These skirts are incredibly flattering on all body types and shapes. The sets I’ve seen are especially cute, often paired with sneakers (Adidas, anyone?). I have a set on the way from Amazon, and I can’t wait to share how it looks!

2. Crochet/Thread Count

This trend screams vacation! While crochet might seem thick, it can actually be quite breathable and perfect for summer. I have a crochet pants set that I wore as a bathing suit cover-up and then as an outfit for lunch by the pool (I don’t swim, but I still want to look fabulous!). I also love the crochet shorts sets. The neutral colors are the ones I’ve been gravitating toward—they’re just so chic and versatile.

3. Asymmetrical Pieces

I’ve always adored asymmetrical pieces. When worn correctly, they can truly elevate an outfit and accentuate your figure. I’m particularly into asymmetrical tops that show a little shoulder, neck, or back. Recently, I’ve seen this trend more in dresses, and I’m so excited to add a few to my wardrobe this summer. There’s something so effortlessly elegant about an asymmetrical cut.

4. Chunky Accessories/Stacking/Statement Pieces

Okay, I know it’s as hot as a dragon’s breath outside, but I can’t resist the allure of chunky accessories. There’s definitely a method to this madness. As the days get warmer, we tend to opt for more breathable clothing, but sometimes a simple tank top can be completely transformed with a pair of statement earrings or a bold necklace. I’ve also seen the trend of stacking bracelets with beachwear, and it looks amazing. Summer is the perfect season to go all out with chunky accessories.

5. Sneakers

I mentioned this earlier, but it’s worth repeating. We are finally moving past the Nike Dunks era (sorry, I had to say it!). Now, we’re seeing innovative sneaker designs and the revival of some old-school styles, like Adidas. I love how versatile sneakers can be, dressing them up or down this summer, whether with jean shorts or a dress. They add a cool, effortless vibe to any outfit.

What trends are you excited to try this summer?

With love,

Krissy
